Thanks to Lake Lanier Sailing Club for hosting a fantastic Reggae Regatta. Saturday's lack of wind and plethora of power boats didn't lend itself to regatta quality race conditions but sailors made the best of it. The apres-race beer and storytelling hour was topped only by the live steel drums. Once the food trucks pulled in and setup shop the party elevated to a new level as Lake Lanier's Fly Betty Band took the stage and brought down the house, making the not-so-race conditions earlier in the day disappear into the night. Sunday brought regatta winds and race committees fired off one race after the other until it was time to tally the scores and hand out awards. Thanks to Kelly and John Bryant for their commitment and hard work in executing a flawless regatta.
